Nancy Pearl, model for the "Librarian Action Figure," and literary diva who suggests great reads to the nation via National Public Radio (NPR), is coming to Buffalo on Wednesday, March 9, 2005.

The originator of "Seattle Reads," the first all-community-reads-one-book program, Pearl compiled her reading recommendations into her first book, Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment, and Reason (2003, over 60,000 copies sold). More Book Lust will be released in May. She was honored in late January 2005 at the Library of Congress by the Women's National Book Association for her "extraordinary contributions to the world of books." Recently retired as Director of the Washington Center for the Book, Pearl teaches "Book Lust
101" at the University of Washington and is a media maven when she can tear herself away from the printed page.

Here's a small start to making a bigger change. The FAQs section of the UB Informatics site is - how do I put it? - empty. And it has been for a very long time. As students, faculty and alumni, what would you like to see on this page?
I can give no guarantee that any suggestions will be accepted by the School, but it would give them some place to begin.
